We are going to venture outside our comfort zone for this Meal Time Monday.
One great thing about Epcot is the opportunity to try foods from around the world with just walking around the lagoon.
We have some picky eaters in our crew, but we choose to eat at Teppan Edo in the Japan Pavilion for Alden's 5th Birthday (he is an adventurous eater). The girls on the other hand could live off Mac and Cheese every day of their life.
At this meal you get seated at tables with about 8 or ten people. We were seated with a very nice family from Virgina. They get your order then your chef comes out.
Our chef was super nice and funny! There were 5 kids at the table and she did a good job of keeping them engaged! She also made Sam take a bite of her noodles which was good, because Sam loved them! They also let us split a meal between the girls because we could not imagine them eating it all.
They give you three different sauces. The kids still talk about the magical 'Yum Yum' sauce. Alden did good with the chop sticks. They do have forks available at the table.
Every one enjoyed their meal, Doug ordered a combo with Shrimp just so we could see some get tossed around. The rest of the adults ordered the steak.
They did a great job making the day special for Alden. He got a chef's hat with an origami pirate skull on it. He also got some ice cream with a candle. Most people would over look this restaurant as being to odd or foreign to kids, but I think it is a great place to take kids. Even with picky eaters, our family had a good time and found plenty to eat!
Alden loved his hat and wore it every where the rest of the night even to Hollywood Studios.
