Welcome to another Meal Time Monday!
Today, we will look at Cape May Cafe!
We had a late breakfast at Cape May Cafe, located inside Disney's Beach Club Resort.
Cape May is a buffet breakfast with characters - Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, & Goofy in their beach attire. The different outfits make them unique and this is the only place that your can meet these characters in this outfit.

Aden got some one-on-one time with Donald Duck. |
We like to try to get some of just one kid with the characters after the whole group shot. (I discovered after our last few trips that when I need a picture of just of my kids for a school project, it was hard to find any Disney pictures like that because we always take pictures of all the kids together.) Meals are a great time because the character can spend longer with you than in regular meet and greets.

Surfing lessons with Goofy! |
The best way to get more time with characters is to interact with them. After the first picture Alden asked Goofy if he could teach him how to surf. It was lots of fun watching goofy move Alden's arms around and instruct him.
Minnie Mouse sneak attacked Alden. She even colored with him for a few minutes. |
We got to see Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck twice this meal. The way we pulled this off was to make as late of breakfast reservation as possible. Cape May Cafe only serves breakfast and dinner (the dinner has no characters and is primarily seafood). So if you make one of the last breakfast reservations, then the place empties out and you get to see some more of the characters. We never felt rushed to leave or like we did not have a fully stocked buffet. You can notice lots of empty tables in the background of our pictures, but when we sat down it was packed!
Lots of food options on the breakfast buffet! Everything from french toast to scrambled eggs with all the fixings.
Mickey waffles are always the star attraction.
Incase you forget where you are the decorations will remind you that you are dining in an early 1900's resort on the Northeast coast.
Mickey waffles buttered and ready to eat.
On the way out with full bellies and smiles on their faces.
I definitely recommend Cape May Cafe! It is so close to Epcot's International Gateway (back enterance) that it is easy to do rope drop at Epcot and sneak over to the Beach Club for a late breakfast after a spin on Test Track or Soarin'. Also because of its location you can eat here on a non-park day, because you do not have to use a park ticket to eat here.
Cape May Cafe is not a true 180 priority reservation, but if you are picky about the time you want the earlier you book the better!
The Breakfast menu can be found here.
To get to Cape May Cafe:
From Epcot exit the International gate way and walk to the Beach Club Resort. (about a 5 min walk)
From Hollywood Studios take the Friendship Boat to the Beach Club Resort.
From Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom take the bus to the Beach Club Resort.
From Disney's Boardwalk, Yaht Club, or Swan and Dolphin Resorts just walk around the lake!
From all other Disney Resorts you must take a bus to a park and then transfer to the Beach Club bus.
Or for the fastest resort to resort option take a cab.
