It's time to eat and there are so many choices at Walt Disney World!! It is hard to know what restaurants will be a good match for you and your family. One place we have tried is the 50's Prime Time Cafe.
The waiting area may remind you of your grandma's house in need of an update.
Old black and white shows played on the TV in the waiting area. It was fun to explain the shows to the kids. They also enjoyed asking Grandma and Grandpa if they grew up with black and white TV.
The food is good old fashion cooking. A few items on the menu: pot roast, chicken pot pie, meatloaf, and fried chicken. The kids menu has more of the same, plus standard kids food. Nobody should go home hungry from this meal as the portions are HUGE! The desert menu is presented on a view finder. Here Alden is having fun picking out his desert!
There are lots of neat things around to make you feel like you have stepped back in time. The waiters also treat you like family. They will "strongly" encourage you to finish your vegetables and clean your plates. They like to poke fun at you and use a little sarcasm to do it.
You can check out the menu here.
As always, tables go fast, so if you want a good time to have a true TV dinner advanced dinning reservations are required (can reserve up to 180 days in advance). It is one credit on the Disney "Plus" Dinning Plan.
